  Four-YEAR OLD PRE-KINDERGARTEN PROGRAMS

Partial Day
Three separate programs are offered in the Kindergarten readiness program.
    Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
    Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
    Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Full Day
The Pre-Kindergarten classes are offered to parents between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, to provide flexibility to our families. Highly dedicated, supportive and educated teachers staff each class. The child-staff ratios are well below the outline in the Guide to Minimum Standards for the State of Texas.

Programs
Social development is stressed, as well as behavioral and physical development in a "fun" atmosphere. In addition, children in this age group will have an opportunity to participate in a movement class and Spanish instruction once a week.

Our building is designed for the children's well being and total development. Individual classes utilize the Rainbow Room and the Great Room. The outdoor play areas are designed for optimum use by the children. Keeping with the natural environment of our community the four-year old playground is equipped with the safety of this age in mind while challenging their physical needs. A gazebo large enough to accommodate an entire class is part of this playground equipment. Our play areas provide hours of enjoyment for the children.

Curriculum
Each class is a literature-based specifically made to age-appropriate developmental skills of the children. Each teacher selects a specific book to develop a pre-determined theme and utilizes that book to present concepts pertinent to the stage of development of the children.
Children will develop understanding of concepts about themselves, others, as well as the world around them through the interaction with people, real objects, and seeking solutions to concrete problems. Meaningful activities inspire cognitive growth in all of the key areas to prepare the students for entrance into formal Kindergarten.

The private school environment we offer provides our families with resources and tools that will enrich their life as a family. The Interfaith Child Development Center continues its outstanding accomplishments while meeting the educational and nurturing needs of our children.
